Build a Garden, Feed the Hungry

  • How It Started

We had the space and we knew there was a need. The Community Garden began as a dream in 2024. We wondered if we could grow food in an empty field on church property and use it to supply The Community Pantry with produce for the community.

We gathered together a team of volunteers to plan, learn, and teach everything they knew about gardening. We even had volunteers take classes to learn how to be Master Gardeners.

  • What We Do

Spring through fall we plant, weed, water, grow, and harvest produce that goes towards stocking The Community Pantry at Whitewater Crossing Christian Church. Learn more about the pantry here.

We encourage everyone to get involved, to learn about growing their own food, and to build relationships with others on the gardening team. We welcome everyone in the community to participate.

  • Who It Helps

The Community Garden is located at 5771 State Route 128, Cleves OH 45002 in the back corner of Whitewater Crossing’s Christian Church.

Last year we grew over 700 pounds of produce that was given away for free in our community, and we are just getting started!
