Hamilton County JFS and Talbert House are community partners working together to help you overcome obstacles so you can do great things.
HOW WE HELP
We provide case management, referrals and help removing difficult barriers that keep young people from success at work or in education.
Customers receive an in-depth personal opportunity plan with specific steps for success.ELIGIBILITY
Youʼre 14 to 24 and live in Hamilton County
You have a barrier to self-sufficiency, such as living in poverty, parenting a child, having a juvenile criminal record or lacking basic skills
Your household income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level (for a family of 3 this would be just under $50,000)
WHAT WE OFFER
Tutoring, study skills training and dropout prevention and recovery
Help with alternative secondary school services, preparation
for transitioning to post-high school education and training
Paid and unpaid work experiences, entrepreneurial and occupational skills training
Mentoring, community service and peer activities
Drug/alcohol counseling & referral
Financial literacy education
Career awareness, exploration and counseling

What PRC Is:
PRC is designed to help families residing in Hamilton County overcome immediate employment-related barriers. Our goal is to help families achieve or maintain self-sufficiency by lessening the need for ongoing public assistance.
All PRC applications are now completed on line:Fill out the application completely.
Verifications/documentation must be uploaded with the application prior to hitting submit. Applications without verifications/documentation may be rejected without review.
PRC Program Eligibility
PRC applicants must:Be age 18 or older.
Have at least one dependent child under the age of 18 in the household or be at least 6 months pregnant.
Meet income requirements.
Be employed or have an employment offer sufficient to meet ongoing needs.
PRC Application Requirements
Documentation of financial eligibility must be submitted with the application. If documentation is not received with the application, it cannot be processed.Pay stubs or similar proof of household income received within the last 30 days
